Göta Canal by bike, 3 days

On this fantastic tour you will cycle a part of the 190 km long Göta canal.
This package includes 2 nights in Norrqvarn’s comfortable rooms.

16,000 trees were planted here when the canal was built, making it the world’s longest tree avenue.
Here you will also pass some of the 58 locks along the Göta Canal.
Göta Canal is today one of Sweden’s most popular cycle paths.

The day trips along the Göta Canal are not too long, it is flat, easily cycled and it is car-free,
which makes this cycling trip suitable for first-time travelers and families with children.
You sleep comfortably in of our lovely hotel rooms at Norrqvarn.

Norrqvarn is beautifully situated right next to the Göta Canal – in a grain mill from 1929.
Here you will find a wonderful hotel environment with a lot of history.

The restaurant works with ingredients from the local area and here is a large pantry to pick from,
everything from the lakes, the coast, the forest and the farms around.

Day 1
Arrival at Norrqvarn. Take the opportunity to hike Kulturstigen, play boules, visit our restaurant or just relax.
Tomorrow your adventure by bike starts!

Day 2
Breakfast buffet
You pick up your bike that will take you further along the Göta Canal and a number of locks.
Total distance Norrqvarn – Tåtorp 51.8 km.
Lunch in Töreboda at Restaurant Krubb is included.
Back at Norrqvarn you will be served a 2-course dinner that you choose from the A la Carte menu.

Day 3
Breakfast buffet
Bicycle ride to Sjötorp where the Göta Canal ends into Lake Vänern.
Total length of the trip 18 km.
