At the beginning of the 20th century, the Norrkvarn mill played an important role in the everyday life of nearby farmers and country dwellers. Today, the premises have been converted to house the Norrqvarn Hotel & Conference, a valued, family-run resort and conference venue on the quayside of the Göta Canal, Sweden’s third-largest tourist attraction. Norrqvarn offers three different types of accommodation. Choose between one of our 25 nicely furnished, cosy hotel rooms with a total of 72 beds, our two Troll Tree Stumps and two Mushrooms, or the Lock Keeper’s Cottage.
Whatever you might decide, the history of the Göta Canal will always be within your reach.
